Santiniketan, situated in Bolpur of Birbhum district is about 50 minutes drive from Guskara, 40 minutes drive from both Nanoor and Tepantar and 1.5 hour drive from Natungram. Santiniketan is the seat of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore established Visva Bharati University. A hub of cultural activities, Santiniketan hosts many fairs and festivals of which the Poush Mela is the most popular and is held in late December.
