Madur Utsav at Sabang, Paschim Medinipur, 2018

Medinipur is known for the beautiful tradition of  Madur weaving - an integral part of Bengal’s lifestyle. Sarta village of Sabang is known for the intricate weaving of Madur mats. In 2018, Madur  received the Geographical Indication (G.I.) tag.
