Chau Jhumur Utsav at Bamnia, Purulia

Purulia is the place of Chau & Jhumur. About 5000 artists practice these forms on a regular basis. Rural Craft & Cultural Hub is being developed in Purulia in association with MSME&T department of Govt. of West Bengal, supported by UNESCO.

Come and visit  Purulia on this occasion of Chau & Jhumur Utsav. Everyday around 10000 people gather during the festival. Hotels are available in Purulia Town for accommodation. The festival is supported by WBKVIB.

How to reach: Purulia is the nearest railway station. Bamnia is 42 kms away from there. It is an hour’s drive. It’s about 6 hrs drive from Kolkata.
