Bangarh is situated on the bank of Punarbhava river. It was called “DEVKOT” in ancient times and is of Historical importance. The ruins of the city dates back to the 12th Century and the excavations here revealed few historical phases dating from the time of the Mauryas, the Kushanas, the Guptas and the Palas.
Bangarh is approximately 31 km via SH 10A and NH512 from Kushmandi and it takes 41 mins by road to reach.
