The Village Festival of Charida organized by the local artist community is a celebration of the age-old craft of Chau Mask making. Each house of Charida becomes a studio where you can find the artists busy in making some beautiful pieces of art. Chau Mask has also received the Geographical Indication (G.I.) status.
Visit Charida and experience its pastoral beauty, simple life and enriched cultural heritage. The Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises & Textiles (MSME&T), Govt. of West Bengal in association with UNESCO has developed this place as a Rural Craft Hub. West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) has extended its support towards organising the Mela with the Mask artists of Charida.
We welcome you to celebrate our cultural heritage!
